Enrol Now for Semester Two

As Semester One ends and communities have settled into the 2015 school year, many parents, gap year students, and community members finally have opportunity to stop and assess their options and opportunities for further training in 2015. TAFE New England is one training provider that has recognised that life does not always run from January to December, and is innovating to provide a wide range of courses for commencement in Semester Two.

TAFE New England is the largest provider of vocational education and training across the New England and North West region, with 11 campuses and over 10,000 students across an area covering 100,000km, and as such, is genuinely committed to seeing job seekers gain the skills they need to secure suitable training and employment.

‘TAFE New England is always innovating to respond to the training environment and the needs of students, employers and the community’, Mr Heilbuth said.

Not only will we offer a wide range of courses in Semester Two, 2015, but students can now study in face to face classes and workshops, in an online environment, as well as flexible delivery via TNE Connects. The goal is always to ensure students gain the qualifications and skills they need to get the job they want,’ Mr Heilbuth said.

TAFE New England takes the approach of maintaining strong links with employers, business, industry and the community to ensure they are providing students with the workplace-based skills employers need.  Because a TAFE New England qualification is nationally-recognised, employers can count on a quality outcome; and the industry skills and experience of teaching staff ensures students come away with practical skills.

For many students, tertiary study is a challenge, and that’s why TNE sees their range of support services as being integral, not only to the study experience, but to securing suitable employment.  Services such as counselling, accommodation liaison, and even a clothing pool for interviews assist students, so that they don’t have to face the challenges alone, resulting in higher retention and completion rates for students.
