Ashleigh puts the community first



Ashleigh Foster believes she has found her dream job in her new role as TAFE Services Coordinator where she will focus on enhancing education and training opportunities available at TAFE NSW Gunnedah.


Ms Foster, who started in the role in May, is extremely passionate about the people of Gunnedah and is excited to be working with the community and industry of the vibrant town to help produce exciting pathways to success at TAFE NSW.


“I was ready for an exciting new challenge and engaging directly with the community particularly appealed to me,” she said.


 “I am very much looking forward to working with the Gunnedah community to ensure that TAFE NSW delivers education and training opportunities best suited to them, I feel privileged to be appointed to this position in such a wonderful town.


“It brings me joy seeing new students coming in to enrol and it is rewarding to see the new students studying and interacting in the TAFE NSW facilities.”


Ms Foster said it was great to see some new course offerings available at TAFE NSW Gunnedah for semester two.


“New courses available for semester two include a Statement of Attainment in Excavator and Tele Handler Operations, a Statement of Attainment in Excavator and Dozer Operations, a Statement of Attainment in Introduction to Hairdressing, Certificate I in Aboriginal Languages, a Certificate II and Certificate III in Hospitality, a Certificate III in Community Services and a Certificate IV in Business Administration,” she said.


“It is a really exciting time for Gunnedah as we continue to consult with the community and significantly increase our number of course offerings available in the region to cater for growing demand. I encourage the community to reach out and make the most of the variety of training opportunities available to them.”
