Media Release: Final week for TNE community funding grant applications
New England and North West communities are reminded that submissions for TNE Community and Business Support program grants close on 6 December.
The TNE Community and Business Support program has been developed by TAFE New England to support its local communities by offering financial grants of between $300 and $3,000 for six to twelve month projects or initiatives. The program is designed to strengthen business, education, health, charitable programs and other resources that regional communities rely on.
TAFE New England Institute Director, Peter Heilbuth, said “We’re proud to be the premier provider of vocational education across the region and to be able to financially support the communities where we live and work.”
“As well as keeping the community connected to quality training opportunities, we’re keen to support the regional communities in which we live, work and offer training too”, Mr Heilbuth said.
The program, which was launched in October, will replace all previous sponsorship arrangements and activities and is designed to be more strategically aligned with the communities that the Institute serves.
Community organisations who wish to apply for a TNE Community and Business Support grant are encouraged to submit their application at www.tne.edu.au before 6 December 2016.
