An increase in interest in the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology saw it become TAFE NSW Narrabri’s most popular course in 2017, Regional General Manager Kate Baxter revealed today.

Ms Baxter said the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology had narrowly edged out the Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation course, with the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care an extremely popular choice in third.

“The Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology not only experienced a surge in interest and enrolments in Narrabri, this was reflected across western NSW,” Ms Baxter said.

“This popularity is driven by increasing industry demand, and because our students enjoy learning from industry experts. The fact that employers trust our training, which can lead to exciting, real-life employment prospects in administration and IT is also a telling factor.”

Ms Baxter noted that interest in the Certificate III in Financial Services remained strong in 2017, while the Certificate I in Engineering was the big mover, becoming the fifth most popular course in Narrabri.
