Media Release - School students get a taste of TAFE!
TAFE New England will throw the doors of the Gunnedah campus this Friday for the annual TVET (TAFE Delivered Vocational Education and Training) Taster Day, which will showcase the courses and facilities available to students to study as part of their HSC.
The event will be held from 9.30am until 2.30pm at the TAFE New England Gunnedah campus in Hunter Street.
Teachers will conduct practical workshops and information sessions with approximately 100 Gunnedah High, St Mary’s College, GS Kids, Binnaway Central and Narrabri High School students, who are about to make important subject selections for 2017.
“This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity for the community to visit or revisit the Gunnedah campus and see what subjects and courses are available right here on their doorstep” said TAFE New England Business Relationship Consultant, Nicole Flemming.
Visitors can use this opportunity discuss the range of study options available, fees and scholarships and student support services available to students at TAFE New England, with our friendly campus staff”.
A free barbeque lunch will be provided by the Student Association and the event is open to all members of the public who would like to discover, or rediscover, courses and training facilities at the Gunnedah campus.
