Consumer Complaint, Suggestion and Feedback Form
Feedback is important and at TAFE New England are committed to resolving your complaint as fairly and as quickly as possible.
If you have a complaint or suggestion about any aspect of your course or TAFE New England, you should talk to someone about it as soon as the situation arises. In the first instance we recommend you discuss the situation with the people who are directly involved and give them the opportunity to respond. If you then feel that your situation or complaint has not been dealt with, you can contact the Office of the Institute Director to investigate the issues or opportunities you have raised.
Please contact the Office of the Institute Director here. You can also contact Robyn Hughes, Manager Enterprise Risk and Executive Business (Consumer Protection Officer) direct 02 67 682212.
If you would like to know more about our process and procedures for handling complaints you can download our Consumer Protection Policy, the Consumer Protection Strategy and our Complaints Handling Guideline. The Complaints Handling Guideline provides detail on how we will investigate your complaint and gives you assurance that your complaint will be investigated and responded to in a timely manner.
Course completion - Testamurs
Testamurs are formal documents which certify that you have successfully completed your course. They are posted to the address listed on your enrolment form. If you want a replacement testamur, you must complete an Application for Replacement Testamur/Confirmation of Award Form and pay a fee to Customer Support at the campus where you studied. TAFE New England reserves the right to revoke or cancel a testamur if it is subsequently established that the quality assurance process has not been fully applied. This includes, but is not limited to, inadequate assessment, false or misleading assessment documentation and administrative errors in issuing the testamur or establishing eligibility of the qualifications and competencies. You will be notified in writing of the proposed action, and invited to provide a written response where relevant.
Course results - Transcripts
Transcripts of your academic record are posted to you. Transcripts are valuable because they show the names and results of all of the units you have enrolled in. Your results, including a report to the employer if you are an apprentice or trainee, will be withheld if you have any student or course fees or library fines outstanding or if you have been excluded from a TAFE NSW Institute or campus. You are able to view your results on the TAFE NSW Student Portal at https://www.tafensw.edu.au/logins.
It is important to note you will only receive your testamur and transcript at the completion of your studies when:
• You have a USI (and are not exempt)
• You have paid your Student fees, including any Course Related Charges
