This is a self paced course over 6 months. The course resources are available via an online learning management system. Students are to implant microchips under the supervision of a suitably qualified veterinarian within a 60 day period.
The Course Fee is $315.
NOTE: CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellations advised in writing more than seven (7) days prior to the commencement of the program are eligible for a full refund
- For cancellations advised within seven (7) days of the program, no refunds are made, however the participant can transfer to an alternative date or a substitute delegate can attend and pay the full fee within the seven (7) day timeframe. Once this payment is received the original participant can be refunded their fee
- Non-attendance on the training day will incur the full course fee
- All courses are subject to minimum participant numbers before proceeding
Payment of all fees is required in full at time of registration
Entry Requirements - To enrol, students must have a veterinary practitioner (who is also an authorised microchip implanter), agreeing to supervise the student's practical microchip implantation. A letter from the veterinary practice is required to confirm the enrolment.
STUDENT SUPPORT - The TNE Animal Care Section Microchipping teacher supports students with social media, Moodle, email and telephone contact and is there to respond to course related questions.

Offering Specific Information
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:- Students must have a veterinarian who is also an authorised microchip implanter to supervise their micro chipping. A letter from the vet is required to confirm the enrolment. This qualification is for people working in the animal care industry where it may be necessary to implant microchips into cats or dogs. Participants may include veterinary nurses, nominated employees and shelter managers for animal welfare organisations, council rangers, pet shop owners, dog or cat breeders etc
