Summary

This course covers the skills and knowledge to provide emergency Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) care to an acutely ill or injured person according to Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

You will be required to perform CPR (on the floor) and communicate details of the incident in a scenario based assessment.
Refresher training in CPR should be undertaken annually and first aid qualifications should be renewed every three (3) years.
